Roti canai, teh tarik and fried chicken to cost 10 sen to 50 sen less

KLANG: Restaurateurs have begun to reduce food prices of local favourites like the roti canai, teh tarik, fruit juices and fried chicken to lure customers.

The customers will now pay between 10 and 50 sen less for the items in most Indian restaurants.

Roti canai is down to 90 sen from RM1.20, while teh tarik is RM1.40 now, compared to RM1.50 earlier.

Malaysian Indian Restaurant Owners Association president Datuk R. Ramalingam Pillai said prices of other dishes would also be reduced in the coming months.

“Our association, which has 1,300 members, decided to bring down the prices to cater to current times,” he said, adding that the reduction did not incur losses for the operators, but merely cut into their profits.

Fifth Landslide Victim

The body of a fifth victim of the Bukit Antarabangsa landslide was found buried under a metre of rubble yesterday.

It is believed the body is that of a Sri Lankan maid, Mery Thuraisamy, who was reported missing after the landslide.

The body was found 30m to 40m away from the house of veterinarian Dr N. Yogeswari, who was also killed in the landslide tragedy on Dec 6.

Close relatives of Dr Yogeswari who were at the site when the body was found, claimed it was that of Mery, based on the bed on which the body was found and a band on the wrist.

RM1.80... Wowwwww...

Perghhh.... I am really glad. Petrol price is at RM1.80 per liter now.

Now we all will be able to fill RM20 and still get quite an amount of fuel. Those kapcai riders, they will be able to fill up their tank with RM5.00 again.

I just wish price of consumer products will decrease. I still get 80cents for a piece of roti canai and RM1.20 for a glass of teh tarik.

To everyone out there, please spread the news if you find a place where prices already being cut down. Support these people whom willing to share the price reduction of petrol with us.

To those whom still retaining the higher price, please consider reducing it!

Another Highland Tower!

I was surprised when it happened again. But this time, not to a kondo or apartment but to a row of bungalows.

It is realy sad. It happened just before the Aidil Adha. To those affected, please be patient. If I say, I understand how you all feel, I will be lying but I really feel sorry.

I hope things will get better. Two of my office mate also amongst the affected families.

Petrol is at RM1.90 per liter

Perghhhhh..... I am really glad. Now, RM10 worth of petrol give me more mileage, but of course it is due to more petrol pumped into the petrol tank.

I just wish price of consumer goods will also come down. If not, that means trader / businessman / store owner will get the most benefit from the petrol price reduction.

I do not know how the government is going to go about reducing consumer goods price, but I think it is only fair if it happened.

I leave it to the expert.............
